Students competing in the Elementary Division (5th grade) do not need to complete all of the ISEF paperwork.  However, they will still need to abide by ISEF rules for the safety of the investigator and all participants.   All projects will need to obtain Adult Sponsor (teacher) and Parent/Guardian approval before research begins.  Projects involving human participants, vertebrate animals, potentially hazardous biological agents, or hazardous substances and devices will require SRC/IRB approval before research begins.
